About

“the best part of my day” is a short film shot on location in Broad Ripple, Indiana.  It’s best described as “experimental, mostly-silent, short romantic comedy”.

It’s experimental in that the film largely features a single camera angle, and breaks at a key moment.  It’s mostly-silent due only having 1 minute 30 seconds total of dialouge.  And it’s a short romantic comedy, because that’s just what it is!

We made “the best part of my day” with two goals in mind – to give people a happy feeling, and to be featured at the Heartland Film Festival.  We like to think the first goal is accomplished every time someone watches the film.  The second goal was accomplished as well, and we had an outstanding time at the festival.  It was an amazing experience.

Going forward, we’d like to see “the best part of my day” featured in many other festivals.  If you happen to have a festival you think our film would be a great fit in, or would like to order DVD’s of the film, contact the Director Benjamin Dewhurst via our contact page.

After the festival season we’ll be posting the film online.  This is due to regulations with film fests.
